Paris -- afternoon 1

We're in Paris and I'm tired. Before leaving the Vosges this morning, we had a lovely 4-km walk in the woods. Then we arrived in Paris and walked to the Eiffel Tower -- adding more kilometers to our day, ending with 25,800 steps taken today. So this is all I'm writing about. It's time to sleep.
Tomorrow will be another day.

The sculpture "Bouquet of Tulips" is near the Petit Palais. American artist, Jeff Koons created this sculpture ("Bouquet of Tulips") as a tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks in the French capital in November 2015.
This door on Ave Rapp, not far from the Eiffel Tower, was designed by the architect, Jules Lavirotte in 1901. This build won first prize at the 1901 Paris facade competition. It one of the most unique examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Paris.

Loved this statue of a centaur abducting one of Hercules' wives. Perhaps not the meaning so much as it's physicality. Not to mention the clouds.
